Parish Lines is a growing project dedicated to documenting and celebrating the culture, traditions, and stories of Louisiana. As the journal develops, we hope to work alongside individuals and organizations who share a passion for preserving and uplifting the voices that shape life across our state.
If you are interested in collaborating or contributing your time and skills, we would love to hear from you.
Cultural Collaborations
Parish Lines welcomes collaboration with cultural organizations, festivals, archives, museums, historical societies, and community groups across Louisiana.
Possible collaborations might include highlighting local cultural initiatives, documenting regional traditions, sharing oral histories, festival tabling or organization, or working together to feature the creative voices connected to your community.
If your organization is interested in partnering with Parish Lines in any capacity, please reach out. We are especially excited to connect with groups working in cultural preservation, local history, folklore, and the arts.
Volunteers
Parish Lines is always interested in connecting with volunteers who want to gain experience in publishing, cultural preservation, and digital media.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
• social media and digital outreach
• copyediting and proofreading
• writing for our blog
• assisting with submissions review
• helping document and share cultural traditions across Louisiana
This can be a great opportunity for students of English, Folklore, or Cultural Anthropology; emerging writers; aspiring editors; or anyone interested in literature, culture, and community storytelling to add experience to their resume.
If you would like to get involved, please send a brief message introducing yourself and your interests or experience.
All volunteer positions are remote and entirely flexible to your schedule and availability.
